Is this Happening in Your City?

I found this message on the web. It has both practical and spiritual applications to it!

August's Online Message!
Don't I Know You?

This is a question that is asked in virtually every corner of the globe many times daily. Each of us has had the experience of seeing someone that we felt like we knew. In this fast-paced hustle and bustle world that we live in it is often somewhat exciting to run across someone that we once knew. The person wouldn't have had to be our former best friend for anyone of us to be excited about recognizing someone that we may have grown up or attended school with. There is a kinship of sorts to see one who may have grown up with a similar experience as yours in one form or another. You and the other individual may have one or multiple shared experiences together. While all of these kinships and experiences may be great in the natural, I have found that they can also be debilitating in the realm of the Spirit. There is a looming danger in our proximity to other individuals some of whom God has chosen to greatly use. That danger is that we often sell those that we know in a natural sense short spiritually! Everyone else from anywhere else can be received as a prophet, priest, or ministry gift except those that we either grew up with or hung out with! We can't let our inside information about some individual's shortcomings in the past, present, or the future keep us from receiving an individual that God may want to bless the entire world with. Keep in mind that according to scripture even Jesus himself came to his own and his own received him not. The Gospel of St. Mark also records that Jesus said-A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house and because of this dubious situation the sciptures record this about Jesus in his hometown-And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. These individuals' proximity to Jesus even short-circuited the King of Glory's ability to heal. Their prior knowledge of Jesus' upbringing and heritage and the fact that he was just the carpenter's son led them to astounding levels of unbelief. Don't let your knowledge of another's past limit you from receiving what God wants to bless us with through that individual in these last days. Every real prophet is not from out of town and every breakthrough ministry is not a 4 hour flight away. God has true ministry in your city wherever that city may be! Someone in your city has heard a Rhema Word from the Lord! Don't let the words of the afore mentioned question limit you from receiving from someone that God has invested so much in! God invests his special gifts in people that you probably find not so special. Maybe that's why the word records that God chooses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. Yes revival can start in your city and the next great move of God on this earth maybe coming from your own zip code. Don't let the words from the title of this message keep that move from happening!
